If you’re thinking of going camping, the Vermont State Parks web page has some great new features for you. The best one is the interactive campground map. I’ve always staked out my favorite camp sites in Vermont’s state parks. Most of them are great, but you sure would hate to reserve a site to find it is plain and unattractive. Worry no more. By clicking on the interactive campground map, you can see a photograph of the site you want to reserve. This is a really great feature!

Camping in Vermont
My latest podcast is about my own camping trip at Ricker Pond State Park in the Groton State Forest of Vermont. I love Vermont’s state parks – they are how I was introduced to the state as a kid. I’ve stayed in lots of parks and even worked for the parks during college. Ricker Pond is one of my favorites. It has a great little pond for paddling my canoe and it has bike trails. Find out more about Vermont’s State Parks by visiting their web site. See more photos of my camping trip by clicking on my Flickr link.
